The Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair, located in Marsannay-la-Côte, is run by 2 husband and wife teams - Jean-Louis Fougeray and his wife Evelyne, their daughter Laurence and their son-in-law, Patrice Ollivier. The family affair was constituted around 1978, with the acquisition and the tenant farming of vines in prestigious Burgundian appellations of "Cote de Nuits" and "Côte de Beaune" such as "Les Bonnes Mares" (Grand Cru), Fixin "Clos Marion", Gevrey-Chambertin..., and very recently with the resumption of a vintage in Languedoc.
The vines of Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair in the Bonnes Mares field are planted on the East-West axis of the hillside and are on average 40 years old. They cover an area of 1.50 hectares, out of 13 hectares. Their wine-making methods highlight the concentration in wines and fruit, fruit and more fruit - particularly red berries.
