The Domaine d'Ardhuy owns 116 acres in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune with a very strong foothold in the Corton Grand Crus of Aloxe-Corton - both red and white wines. This gives them the opportunity to work with the some of the best terroir for both types of wine. Domaine d'Ardhuy excels in both areas and this Meursault shows that remarkably.

The winery has been owned by the Pierre André family since 1939, although the estate itself has existed in its picturesque setting in the middle of the vines of Corgoloin since the 11th century. The winery is run today by Mireille Santiard-d'Ardhuy, Mr. André's granddaughter and their winemaker is Jean-Pierre Terrand, who is passing the flame over to Eric Plumet after 35 years of loyal service.

Impressive color - light, limpid, yellow. Low acidity due to very ripe fruit which gives a softness, thickness, a pleasant "gras" or fat (meaning oily) which characterizes Meursault. We suggest matching this wine with poultry or fish that have a relatively powerful flavor or perhaps a cream sauce. These will be very complimentary to this beautiful Meursault.
