| We were recently speaking with one of the Côte de Beaune owners of Batard-Montrachet, one of the 5 white grand cru fields of the southern Côte de Beaune (the others are Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bienvennue-Batard-Montrachet, and Criot-Batard-Montrachet - refer to map). This wine maker told us he was invited to submit 2 bottles of his wine for a blind tasting. He was also invited to be a participant and he tasted about 30 different wines from the 5 fields and all from the same year. He was telling us this story and, at this point, took his voice down to a whisper. "You know - Chevalier Montrachet is the best - the most elegant." And, of course, this means even more when you know that the gentleman doesn't own any of that field! |

| his confirms what Laurent has been saying for years. Each time he has tasted the Bouchard Père et Fils Chevalier Montrachet he affirms to everyone who will lend an ear how fantastic it is. This is one of the reasons we wanted this in our first white case, but we also realize that the price will not fit into every budget therefore this wine is optional. |

It's hard to describe this wine without using too many superlatives. Suffice it to say that in the international wine press, this wine is generally granted one of the top ratings for the Bouchard wines, year in and year out, and it is simply a treat. The beauty, the elegance, the smoothness and delicateness of a great white burgundy. Wow! |
If you would like to order this in your tasting case, please follow the ordering procedure in A La Carte. |
